What is Mental Skills Coaching?

Kim Conway Haley, founder of the Mental Edit, Certified Mental Performance Coach and former elite and professional athlete, uses mental skills coaching to help her athletes strengthen their mindset for improved performance and enjoyment in sport. Most athletes train their physical skills on a daily basis but they don't put the same effort into their mental skills like confidence, motivation, energy management and focus.  By training the mind to execute what they've worked hard for their body to do, athletes are better equipped to perform under pressure and more likely to thrive in the face of challenges and adversity.  ​
The 'mental editing' process involves helping the athlete develop awareness of strengths and areas of improvement and then learning mental skills and techniques to help optimize to one's potential. ​​
